AMD Ionic Foot Bath
How does it work
The IonCleanse® is a detox foot bath system. You place your hands, feet, or other body parts in a tub of water, along with a device called an “array.” When the system is turned on, a control unit sends a clean, filtered electrical current through the array and water.
This current does two key things
- It helps the body relax.
- It creates ions—tiny charged particles— through a process called electrolysis. These ions interact with the water, salt, and metals in the array. As a result, positively and negatively charged ions are generated in the water.
These ions are thought to attract and pull toxins of the opposite charge out of your body, which are then drawn into the water.
The system can be set to two modes
- Positive polarity : The current flows to the positive side of the array. This produces more negative ions in the water and releases hydrogen gas (which may look like smoke).
- Negative polarity : The current flows to the negative side, creating more positive ions in the water and releasing oxygen gas.
Even though the terms “positive” and “negative” are used, they refer to electrical charges, not chemical properties.
This kind of ionization happens in nature too—like when you’re near a beach or waterfall. That fresh, energized feeling you get is due to naturally occurring ions. The IonCleanse® aims to recreate and amplify that effect using technology.
How will I feel after a session?
Many people report feeling lighter, more energized, mentally clearer, and less stressed after a detox foot bath. If you already feel good before your session, you’ll likely maintain that positive feeling afterward. However, those experiencing more discomfort or imbalance often notice the most significant improvements. If you’re addressing a specific concern, consistent use typically brings noticeable results within about two months.
Who should not use the IonCleanse?
- Wearers of a pacemaker, or any other battery operated or electrical implant.
- Pregnant or nursing women.
- Those on heartbeat regulating medication and/or blood thinners.
- Organ transplant recipients.
- Those on medication, the absence of which would cause mental or physical impairment, such as psychotic episodes, seizures, etc.
Furthermore, the following recommendations should be considered
- Consult your physician for clearance first if you’re on prescription medications. Many medications require that a blood level be maintained in order to be effective; for example, blood pressure medication. Do your IonCleanse session just before taking your medication so that you can maintain proper levels.

- If you tend to experience low blood sugar, eat before a session.
- Consult your physician for clearance first if you have had a substantial portion of your colon removed. Start with reduced session times as one of your main channels of elimination has been compromised.
- If you have non-electrical implants, such as titanium pins, you may find the current uncomfortable. In the event of severe discomfort, discontinue the session.
